Dates? Mates?

Love is in the Air!  

What better way to celebrate Valentines Day than to highlight the amazing work taking place with our friends over at Dates-n-Mates?  

Dates-n-Mates is Scotland’s national dating and friendship charity run by, and for, adults with a learning disability. 

This week parties, events, dates, discos and media appearances abound! It’s all go!    

Fiona Kyle, National Lead for Dates-n-Mates Scotland said ‘We’re delighted to share that a couple from the Falkirk branch, who met through Dates-n-Mates and started dating in November 2024, have been interviewed by the National Lottery as part of their Valentine’s campaign! The couple were excited to tell their love story and share their special plans for Valentine’s Day. It’s set to be a fantastic celebration of love and friendship!’

There are Valentines day parties happening in Aberdeen, Glasgow, Renfrewshire and Falkirk. 

The guest list for the Renfrewshire party will include  Carol and Tony who have been together for over 15 years, Ross and Caitlin who have been together for 2 years and plan to get engaged as well as John and Christopher who attended Club Late together in November and since have enjoyed dates and events like the Irn Bru carnival and Friday night drinks.
