£195,000 Awarded to Dates-n-Mates Aberdeen, thanks to the National Lottery!
Dates-n-Mates Aberdeen is delighted to announce new funding from the National Lottery Fund! The project of C-Change have been awarded £195,000, which will make a massive impact on how it can operate. This funding means that Dates-n-Mates Aberdeen can not only continue for years to come, but also means that it can expand from Aberdeen city into Aberdeenshire.
The Funding also presents more opportunities for their members, with the opportunity to expand. It means there will be more events within and outwith Aberdeen city. Therefore the prospect of members making new friends and establishing a meaningful relationship has never been better.
Richard Reid, a trustee for Dates-n-Mates Aberdeen gave some insight to what the funding meant to him as a trustee and a member. He said that Dates-n-Mates is important to people with learning disabilities in Aberdeen, and that since becoming part of Dates-n-Mates, it has been a massive support in his life. He said that it is good to know that the lottery is going to fund such a great charity!
