C-Change 10 Year Celebration – Dragon’s Den
Published: October 4, 2011
Dragon’s Den was the 4th event of our 10 Year Celebration and took place in the Pierce Institute in Govan on Wednesday 28th of September.
This event was in the style of the popular BBC2 programme “Dragon’s Den”. The aim of this was for the people we work for to have the opportunity to obtain some funding to help kick start an idea that will help improve your life. Each Individual had to present their bid to the Dragon’s.
A huge thank you to all our ‘Dragon’s’ which were Anne Conner (Director of ‘Outside The Box’), Craig Mackie (Director of ‘The Shine Agency’), Allison Petch (Director of IRIS, ‘Institute of Research & Innovation in Social services) for volunteering their time for this as well as fellow ‘Dragon’ Sheryl Walker (Head of PR & Marketing at C-Change) and Robert Gallagher (Event Co-ordinator) who was the host on the day.
Congratulations to Ninian Brown, Ian Doak, Andrew Greensmith & Peter Bowers for their successful bids at our Dragon’s Den event. All of you did great with your presentations and obviously managed to impress our ‘Dragon’s’ on the day.
Ninian Brown with support from his team successfully received money to start a disco night in his community. Ian Doak received money to kickstart his Recycle, Cycling Service. Andrew Greensmith was successful in his bid to Kickstart his goal of providing a handyman service in his community. Peter Bowers was successful in getting some money to launch us career as a DJ.
