The Shine Partnership – SDS World cafe Event

Published: April 25, 2014

The Shine Partnership hosted the first of a series of Self Directed Support (SDS) ‘World Café Events’ in partnership with Aberdeen City Council on the 25th of April. The event was launched by Counsellor Lesley Dunbar, The Vice Convenor for The Social Care, wellbeing and Safety Committee in Aberdeen.

There was over 60 people that took part in the event, the purpose of which was to create conversations about SDS for participants to express their opinions and share ideas. The key ideas and information gathered from the days activities will help to inform the effective development of SDS in Aberdeen for individuals and families.

“We enjoyed being part of the event and we hope that the learning and experience that was shared on the day will make a positive difference to others” (Sheryl Walker, C-Change Scotland / The Shine Partnership)
