C-Change Scotland Dragon’s Den

Published: August 20, 2015

We hosted an event in the style of the popular BBC programme Dragon’s Den mid August – held at the Pearce Institute in Govan. This was to provide people we work for with a business idea to obtain some funding to get their idea of the ground.

Well done to the 7 fabulous budding entrepreneurs who were all awarded seed funding to help get their venture started.

Their was an audience of around 40 in attendance consisting of C-Change Scotland employees as well as family and friends of participants; all their to show their support.

A big thank you to the 4 wonderful Dragons for giving their time and expertise: Stephen Cole – Director of Cole Advertising & Design, Elisabeth Gibson – Director of Project Ability, Maura Lynch – Depute Chief Executive Scottish Consortium for Learning Disability and Natalie McGarry – MP for Glasgow East.

Many thanks to our Sponsors who collectively contributed £800 to our Dragon’s Den fund. Our sponsors were: Aqua Specialist Environmental Services, Georgie Porgies – Fresh Affordable Catering, Benburb Football Club, Urban Electrical LTD & Lifelink.

Our dating and friendship agency project dates-n-mates was recently featured in an advert shown on ITV2 which was played many times over the course of a week in mid August.

The advert features dates-n-mates members Derek & Nicola – a couple who met each other through the organisation.

The National Lottery provides funding to hundreds of charities across the UK. dates-n-mates were chosen as one of only ten of these to be part of it’s Lotto Good Causes campaign.

If you missed the advert on TV you can view via the home-page of the dates-n-mates website:
