Big Lottery Visitors

We had a lovely visit from Natasha from Camelot and Emma from the Big Lottery Fund at the end of October. The big lottery are our main funders for our dates-n-mates Glasgow & dates-n-mates Aberdeen projects.

Many thanks to dates-n-mates members Malcolm and Andrew for coming in for a relaxed chat over lunch on the afternoon.

The guys and some of the dates-n-mates team chatted to Natasha & Emma, letting them know a bit more about what dates-n-mates does and the benefits it brings to members.

We also had a good chat about what we have been up to recently and are planning for the future.

15 Year Celebration Skydive

To celebrate 15 years of C-Change this year we aimed high and quite literally reached for the sky! Some very brave souls representing both C-Change & dates-n-mates jumped 10,000 feet from the skies above Fife on Sunday 9th of October.

Unfortunately not everyone got to jump, though there will be further opportunities to do so – watch this space!

With fundraising money still coming in we have still to reveal the total raised, however we can say that we have more than met our fundraising target of £1,500.00. A massive thank you to everyone who donated!

We got some amazing feedback from the jumpers.

C-Change Volunteer Evelyn Youmans said:

“From start to finish the whole experience was incredible. We were all a great support to one another.”

Everyone who took part said they would be very keen to take part in a similar fundraising activity in the future.

Huge well done all!

If you have not already done so, you can donate via our Golden Giving Fundraising Page: goldengiving.com/fundraising/C-Change-scotland

All money now raised will go towards a trip to the Special Olympics in Sheffield next year for dates-n-mates members and people C-Change Scotland work for to cheer on their friends who are competing.
