dates-n-mates Aberdeen 1st Birthday Party

Published: June 30, 2016

On Thursday 24th of June, a party was held to celebrate dates-n-mates Aberdeen’s one year anniversary at Aberdeen’s Rox Hotel, the same venue where the launch party for the project was held a little over a year ago.

Speeches were made by dates-n-mates Aberdeen Director Sarah Paterson and Aberdeen City Councillor Lesley Dunbar. We also heard heart-warming words from dates-n-mates members Liz and Richard who were very keen to talk about how dates-n-mates has changed their lives.

There was live music from local band Coda and DJ Kit Kat Kenny ended the night with a great disco getting everyone up and dancing away.

Around 80 guests came along to celebrate with us and there really was a lot to celebrate, with the project having achieved so much over the past twelve months. dates-n-mates Aberdeen have put on some brilliant events and activities for their members and have now have over 50 members – far exceeding the 40 member target set by Aberdeen City Council.

We would like to thank Aberdeen City Councillor Lesley Dunbar and Tom Cowan, Head of Joint Operations at Aberdeen City Health & Social Care Partnership for attending this special event.

Happy 1st birthday dates-n-mates Aberdeen!
