Paul’s Life Changing Passion for Running
We started working with Paul over a year ago now in Aberdeen. Paul was a man full of potential and in the last year that potential has really started to shine thanks to his hard work and determination.
Paul had shown an interest some time ago in getting fitter and spending his time in a more constructive way.
In early summer 2016 Paul started Military Fitness training weekly (with encouragement from C-Change Aberdeen Area Lead Mike Culley) whilst also going to the local gym at least once a week. At the gym Paul started running with gradual inclines for 30 minutes, increasing recently up to 1 hour 30 minutes on a regular basis.
In late Summer 2016 Paul took part in the C-Change Aberdeen 15K Celebration Run, supporting a few of the people we work for to do parts of this. Afterwards he seemed to be even more determined to continue with his training.
Paul has worked hard and kept his training up and has started achieving some very impressive fitness goals.
A massive congratulations to Paul for completing the 15K Beach Ballistic obstacle course (with 24 obstacles) in Balmedie, Aberdeenshire on Saturday 26th of August. A further massive congratulations for very impressively completing the first ever Great Aberdeen Run Half Marathon the very next day with a very respectable time of 2 hours and 21 minutes.
Paul’s recent achievements have been recognised in an article in the Aberdeen Evening Express. Click here to read this online now.
Paul is already looking forward to taking part in the Banchory Beast obstacle race in September this year.
Well done Paul!
