Personal Development Workers for David in Blantyre
3 Positions Available
A rewarding opportunity has arisen for a number of Personal Development Workers (PDWs) to support a young man to live his best life.
David is in his early twenties and lives in his own home in Blantyre. He has loads of energy and walks every day, rain, hail or shine. You need to be ready to walk with him, whatever the weather! As well as walking he loves to swim and so you should be comfortable supporting David in the water and preferably be a swimmer yourself.
It is important that you help David manage his surroundings and routines. He likes things to be calm and ordered. This brings out the best in him and helps him feel secure
In time, part of your role as a Personal Development worker will be to assist David to build new friendships and become a part of his local community. It will be important for him to form new connections in a way that makes sense to him.
David has a mobility car and so being a driver would be on his list of priorities for team members.
