The Go-Between

We continue to be grateful to all the incredible people who make up our C-Change Board, chaired by Prof Ian Welsh, who work hard to support and guide C-Change to walk alongside individuals and the people who know and love them to plan for better futures. This year we said ‘goodbye’ to Matthew and ‘Hello’ to William.

Matthew made a meaningful and lasting contribution over ten years with the board and was presented with a ‘This is Your Life’ Magic Moments video tribute by way of thanks which was packed to the brim with his wit, enthusiasm and energy. We are so grateful for the contribution he has made.

William has been a great addition to the board and brings with him first hand knowledge of the organisation and the social care sector. His commitment to spotlighting the work of the board and helping to disseminate information to the wider organisation/ wider world has been inspirational. He has become the C-Change ‘roving reporter’ with regular news broadcasts and the headlines from each of the board meetings. He ensures the reports are informative, interesting and – most of all- fun.

This creativity and sense of fun, with a serious message, has been a feature of our communications this year, with some notable videos around cyber security (where colleagues got into training – neon headbands and all – to fight cyber threats) and office vibe with its retro 80’s vibe to the more sensitive depictions of important stories such as the Lennoxtown Hospital stories and ‘Uncle James’. The ability to think creatively and inject a little humour where we can contributes to C-Change continuing to be a place where people can be themselves.

Thank you to our fantastic Board members and volunteers for bringing your whole selves to C-Change, we are all the richer for it!
